The Apartheid Museum is a Museum in Johannesburg, South Africa illustrating Apartheid and the 20th-century history of South Africa. 

The Museum is part of the Gold Reef City complex and was opened in November 2001. At least five times a year events are held at the museum to celebrate the end of apartheid and the start of multiracial democracy for the people of South Africa. At 3.7km it’s a fairly short pass by Lesotho standards and only displays an altitude variance of 120m, and all the corners are gentle as are the gradients which reach 1:5 near the summit and immediately after it.

Liphofung cave and cultural site: “place of eland” cave occupies an important place in Lethoso history. This is the smallest of the LHDA reserves at about 4 hectares. The cave is in fact, a sandstone overhang, which is a typical feature of the Lethoso lowlands region.

Originally used by the San and other Stone Age people, the walls contain important rock art and a rich archaeological deposit of Stone Age implements.

Meru national park is located east of Meru, about 350km from Nairobi, it covers an area of about 340 sq. mi. The park has a wide range of wild animals including the African bush elephant, lion, African leopard, cheetah, eastern black rhinoceros, southern white rhinoceros, Grevy's zebra, hippopotamus, and more.

Meru was one of the two areas in which the conservationist George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the best-selling book and award-winning movie Born Free. Elsa the Lioness is buried in this park and part of Joy's ashes were scattered on her gravesite.

DAY 2: Meru national park - Nakuru National Park Kenya. (

Lake Nakuru is one of the Rift Valley lakes at an elevation of about 5,755ft above sea level. It lies to the South of Nakuru in the Rift valley of Kenya. Nakuru means “Dust or Dusty Place” in the Masai language.

The lake's abundance of algae attracts a vast quantity of flamingos that famously line the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area as do warthogs, baboons, and other large mammals, eastern black rhinos and southern white rhinos have been also introduced. When the water levels highly increase at Lake Nakuru, the flamingos migrate to Lake Bogoria in search of food supply.

Matobo national park is in southwest Zimbabwe, it’s known for the Matobo Hills, a range of balancing rock formations created by erosion.

The Matobo national park forms the core of the Matobo, an area of granite Kopjes and wooded valleys commencing some 35 kilometers south of Bulawayo, southern Zimbabwe. The hills were formed over 2 billion years ago with granite being forced to the surface, this has eroded to produce smooth “ whaleback Dwalas” and broken Kopjes, strewn with boulders and interspersed by thickets of vegetation which make the visit a memorable one.

It covers an area approximately of 2850 square kilometers. Parc National Des Volcanoes is a national park in northwestern Rwanda. It covers 62 sq. mi of rainforest and encompasses five of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains, namely Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga and Sibyinyo.
